Day 33 – 3/9/2012 – 8:00 AM – Weekly Weigh-in

I have been on the program for 25 days.  Here are the numbers.  My current weight is 251.0 lbsa loss of 6.0 pounds in the past week.  Total weight loss is now 36.0 lbs!

Exercise

I walked 3.1 miles 3 times this week and weight lifted 3 days.

Weight: 251.0
Total lbs. Lost: 36.0
BP: 100/60 (Too Low – Going to cut BP medicine again to 75 MG Avapro and 12.5 MG Hydrochlorothiazide)

Day 26 – 2/24/2012 – 9:30 AM – Weekly Weigh-in

I have been on the program for 25 days.  Here are the numbers.  My current weight is 257.0 lbsa loss of 5.5 pounds in the past week.  Total weight loss is now 30.0 lbs!

I finally have gotten serious about exercising.  I walked 2.1 miles 4 times this week and weight lifted 2 days.

Day 19 – 2/24/2012 – 9:30 AM – Weekly Weigh-in

I have been on the program for 18 days.  Here are the numbers.  My current weight is 262.5 lbs, a loss of 6.5 pounds in the past week.  Total weight loss is now 24.5 lbs!

I still have not gotten serious about the exercise.  This week is the week I must address exercise as it will ensure the weight loss and help me maintain my weight once I am on maintenance.

Weight: 262.5
Total lbs. Lost: 24.5
BP: 117/76 

I got the results of my blood test and I think I will scan the image in for all to see as some may find this of interest.   All pretty good though.

Day 13 – 2/18/2012

Well, it’s Saturday and I am doing well on this weight loss program.  I don’t weigh myself until I visit the doctor each week so I don’t obsess over the number.  I am sticking to the diet strictly so I KNOW the weight is coming off. That is a good feeling.

I am feeling really good today.  Not hungry or craving anything which is good.  I went to the movies last night and actually did NOT eat popcorn!!!  Anyone who knows me, knows that I have to have popcorn at the movies so this is a big deal.  I did break down and have a Coke Zero.

Day 12 – 2/17/2012 – 9:30 AM – Weekly Weigh-in

Been on the program for a full 11 days.  Here are the numbers.  My weight is 269.0 lbs, a loss of 8 pounds in the last week.  Total weight loss is now 18 lbs!  Not bad.  I feel pretty good.  I need to get serious about the exercise program this week.

I bought a new pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS 12 running shoes this week.  This is a big deal because these are the shoes that I have run in for the past 7 years. (When I was running daily and not overeating!)

Weight: 269.0
Total lbs. Lost: 18
BP: 117/72 (Great!) 

I will be having blood drawn this week so I will be able to share my cholesterol, etc next week.  This should be interesting.

Day 10 – 2/15/2012

Sorry for not posting for a few days.  Still on the Optifast Diet.  Having trouble remembering to eat all five portions I am supposed to have in a day.  My appetite has certainly diminished quite a lot.

I am resisting jumping on the scale and trying to wait until Friday’s weigh-in.  I feel pretty good and I know I am dropping weight quickly.  I need to get to the gym tonight and walk a few miles.

I am taking my BP meds and my vitamins every day.  I will check my BP tomorrow morning to see how the reduction from 25 MG to 12.5 MG of HCTZ has affected my BP.  I am still also on Avapro 150 MG once a day.

These are the vitamins I am currently taking every day in case you are interested:

Morning:
B-100
L-Tyrosine 500MG
D3 – 2000 MG
2 – Omega-3 Fish Oil (Lovaza)
Magnesium – 500 MG

Afternoon:
Co-enzyme Q10 – 150 MG
1 Omega-3 Fish Oil
Zinc – 50MG
C 500 MG capsule
5HTP – 100 MG

And usually an Emergen-C in a bottle of water (1000 MG of vitamin C)

Day 5 – 2/10/2012 – 9:30 AM – Weekly Weight-in

OK – I have been on this weight loss regimen for 4 full days and here are the results:

Weight Loss – 10 lbs

BP – 106/80 – (The top number has dropped over forty points in 4 days)  That is what a change in diet can do. I am currently on 150 MG Avapro and 25 MG Hydrochlorothiazide (water pill). I will be reducing the Hydrochlorothiazide to 12.5 MG a day as I had some muscle cramping which could be because of the reduction in salt intake and potassium loss which is a side effect of the water pill.

Hopefully, next week I can stop taking the water pill.  We will see.  So far, so good!
